The spark behind The Career Conversation, Gareth has worked in human resources (HR) for more than 23 years at companies including Robert Walters, Hudson and Alexander Mann Solutions, where he ran the ANZ Bank and Deutsche Bank accounts across Asia Pacific.
In 2008, slap bang in the middle of the financial crisis, he founded HR consultancy TQSolutions. Despite the tricky timing it’s been a huge success, advising and supporting clients including GE, BHP, Treasury Wine Estates, Australia Post, Jetstar, Bupa, Save the Children and many more. When he’s not working Gareth likes to relax by taking part in ironman endurance events. Gareth has lots of energy.

Tim lives and works in Singapore, Asia’s world leading entrepreneurial hub and has spent more than 20 years growing as an HR leader in multi-national and start up environments across Europe, Australia and Asia.
For Tim, helping someone advance their career and themselves in any way will always be the most satisfying part of his job.
With global corporate structures shifting, recent years have seen Tim either recruiting or releasing lots of people. Through this experience he knows credible support and advice can make a big difference to outcomes individuals can achieve for themselves.

Head of Operations
Officially the first employee at The Career Conversation, Sheree makes sure everything runs smoothly, from the day-to-day activities of the business to managing production of content and building relationships with key stakeholders. Luckily for us she’s got lots of experience working with HR tech startups and was recently customer success manager at LiveHire.
She grew up on a beautiful country farm in Tasmania where she developed a passion for nature and, less obviously, volcanology.
Chris makes sure all the words are in the right order and all the content has something to say and says it well. He hates management jargon and will only let it slip through if he really, really has to. Chris has written about various things for various national newspapers and magazines in the UK, created content for lots of brands, come up with social media strategies and written two books. One of which was about horsemeat, which was an unexpected career twist.
Coach & Content Developer
Nadine knows how to get the right people in the right jobs and how to retain the best talent by keeping them challenged and engaged. She’s done it for Citigroup in Australia as head of resourcing and as a senior HR manager at Macquarie Group, and now she wants to help your business do it too. She also has three kids, a thriving vegetable patch and is working towards becoming a black belt in taekwondo. You could say she’s good at multi-tasking.
During his time in recruitment Thai has interviewed 1000’s of candidates and recruited many of these people in various organisations including Telstra, Computershare, Exxon Mobil, Foxtel, Link Group, the Department of Human Services, the Australian Tax Office and many more. If anyone knows why some people make it while others are rejected, it’s him.
That’s what inspired him to become a career coach. As an avid Marvel superheroes fan he wants to come to the rescue of people who have the right skills, qualifications and attitude but aren’t getting the jobs they deserve.
If you’ve got hidden potential Nicola can find it. Before becoming a reinvention coach and managing director of a coaching and consulting practice she worked in HR across sectors including retail, professional services, oil and gas and mining. She wants to give you the confidence to stand up and be counted. Originally from Dublin, but now living in Perth she loves experiencing new cultures and encouraging diversity in the workplace.
She’s a certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach, member of the International Association for Health Coaches (IAHC) and the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI). She also knows there’s no stressful situation that can’t be made a little better with a good laugh.
Meditation & Mindfulness Coach
Cath understands the demands of a busy corporate life, because she’s lived it. She started as a chartered accountant at KPMG, moved into senior finance roles at NAB & AXA, then led the finance recruitment team at Hudson Recruitment. She knows how important it is to have the mental tools to cope with a challenging career.
She founded The Calm Institute, after gaining her diploma in mediation and wellbeing in 2010, to teach people those tools. So when the stress starts, your mental health doesn’t suffer.
Podcast Voice (UK)
Nicki spent 15 years presenting live news programs for BBC radio and TV, before becoming chief communications officer for education charity Achievement for All. She now runs her own agency, Vera White PR, which offers a wide range of communication services, including voiceovers. Her distinctive vocal style has been used to represent companies such as HSBC Bank, M&S and Chevron.

Jen is the Australian voice of our podcasts. As well as being a professional voice over actor, she has experience in speech pathology and pastoral care and counselling. She used to ride a motorbike around Sydney, but these days her riskiest activity is eating her own fermented foods.
